This sector ranks third among the 14 noteworthy sectors, in respect of direct, indirect and initiated effects in all segment of the economy.

One key aspect of the growth of this sector is, more investment of the Non-Residents Indians (NRI) is expected. The investment could be as a short-term investment and long-term investment. This will be a big booster to the Indian economy for sure. All these give you a good reason to consider for investment in Real Estate in India.

Segments like IT/ITeS, e-commerce, retail and consulting have shown great interest in office space lately. The workplace space ingestion in 2017 over the best eight urban communities added up to 18 million square feet (MSF) as of September 2017. Annual absorption of office space in India crossed 42 million sq ft in 2017, signaling the continued growth of the segment. Out of the key markets, Bangalore and Delhi-National Capital Region accounted for over 50% of annual leasing activity. Private value inflows in office and IT/ITES land have grown 150 percent in the vicinity of 2014 and 2017 supported by a solid fascination towards office part. In 2017, new retail space of 6.4 million has completed and supply of around 20 million sq ft is anticipated in 2019.

About housing sector too, the Real Estate market is doing pretty good. In several Tier-1 & Tier-2 cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and more, people are willing to have their own house. The sales and demand for the same have been increasing. Several developers whether PAN India or local ones are launching their new projects.

There was some shortfall due to the sudden implementation of some reform measures, but these things happen in business.
